lovely way to start the day...

our friendly and unafraid little mouse has been making his appearance in our living room quite often throughout the week. we decided to keep the door to the kitchen closed so that he might starve and be forced to eat off of our traps... instead, he decided that the food in Lucys cage looked good enough to try to sneak out. no idea how he managed to fit through the cage bars, they are barely over a centimeter apart.
this morning i noticed that Lucy had made a big mess around her cage. wood chips everywhere. when i took a closer look, i saw a suspicious looking grey little blob in the middle of the cage. upon closer inspection, i realized that it was a mangled, bloody, and completely headless mouse.

yes.

our rat fixed our mouse problem.
